IV is short for intravenous (in the vein). With a small needle poke, we insert a catheter directly into your vein. Once the vein is accessed, the needle comes out and the plastic catheter is left in its place.
IV therapy allows us to quickly administer fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins- making it for effective and efficient than oral supplementation as we bypass the digestive tract.
All of our vitamins and minerals are FDA approved and come from accredited compounding pharmacies; all IVs are administered by a licensed professional. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated.
Side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.

However, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, visit your nearest emergency department. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients — please avoid it!
This really depends on the type of IV drip formulation being administered. Most IV treatments may range from 45-60 minutes.
Patients who are being administered NAD+ or high-dose vitamin C drips should expect their appointments to range from 2-4 hours.
Please hydrate as much as possible, eat a snack, and move around for some physical activity before your appointment. Physical activity can help increase your blood flow and engorge your veins prior to your appointment.
IV hydration goes straight to your blood stream bypassing the GI tract and absorbing 100% of the nutrients. Typically you will feel the effects same day of treatment. Full absorption or the vitamins administered can take up to 24 hours. Some of our infusions are designed for long term benefits and may not give you the immediate boost, but will support your system and nutrient needs over time.
Some individuals need weekly doses, some get monthly maintenance therapy, while others only need an occasional boost. The frequency depends on your individual history and goals.
Whether you're aiming to boost energy, accelerate recovery, or improve overall health, we can help you create a personalized treatment plan!
IV therapy and vitamins injections are sometimes covered by Extended Health Benefits plans under Naturopathic Services. Please contact your health insurance provider for details.
